It is not a month since we saw another case of a seven year old boy also abused allegedly by an older man, trouble is that cases like this just raises the homo-negative temperature as persons misconstrue or conflate homosexuality with abuse.

The Star News had as its headline today:
A 15-year-old boy is accusing a cop of buggery after the policeman allegedly accosted him, took him to a location and molested him.
It is reported that the boy made a report after confiding with a relative.
A family friend of the teen, who spoke to THE STAR by telephone, said, "The authorities need to get to the bottom of this because if something really go so it really sad, then the policeman should be named and put to shame."
The news team understands that the cop has reportedly not shown for work since the matter was reported to his superiors.
Checks by THE STAR within the division where the incident allegedly took place have not revealed whether or not the police officer implicated has been officially removed from front-line duty.
The rank of the officer at the centre of the controversy has not been ascertained.
THE STAR also spoke with police officers within the parish, some said they were unaware, while a few said they were not at liberty to speak on the matter and directed our questions to the commander in charge and the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU).
unaware
However, several calls to the commander's mobile phone proved futile and the CCU said they were not aware of any incident of that nature.

ENDS
Sadly our children are facing serious issues and steps must be taken to address this growing problem on the face of it as more reports seem to be reaching the right authorities.
Questions arise as to the numerous cases that have gone unnoticed or unreported and victims suffer serious 'damage' psychologically and otherwise.
Hope this one goes to full trial and if the accused is convicted he serves his time but also the diagnosis process for paedophiles seems on the face of it not so sophisticated yet as there have been reports of persons going to trial and are back on the streets again. The age group of victims seems to be falling to very young persons in their single digits which is also worrying.
What could be driving these new trends.
I hope CISOCA and the children's advocate also spruce up their interventions for victims.
Peace and tolerance
